Default What Do You Want Let's Played? Talking Time's Most Wanted List

We'll go ahead and give this request thread a chance. If there is a game you'd really like to see Let's Played your best chance is doing it yourself. A slightly less effective way of seeing that Let's Play is making a request for it here and getting a couple of seconds. I'm not going to make anyone do any of these LPs but if someone is wanting to do one but lacking inspiration they can check here.

And, of course, if this doesn't pan out I'll just delete the thread

Making a request: include the name of the game in bold in your post.

Getting on the list: In order for a game to get on the list at least two other people must request it as well. They can either quote the original request or make a new post with the same game name in bold text.

MOST WANTED

Final Fallacy: Dusk of Spirits
Abobo's Big Adventure
Megaman Legends
Okage: Shadow King
Sonic '06
Suikoden 2
Suikoden 3

I'd like to see someone's attempt at Final Fantasy Tactics A2, a game that I feel gets a free pass mostly because it doesn't screw up as badly as its immediate predecessor.

I'll go along with this. I loved FFT and lost interest quickly in both FFTA and FFTA2, mostly (IIRC) due to the kiddified story and lack of an ability to view all possible abilities.

I would love to see a good LP of Suikoden III, because I sure as hell don't want to play it myself.

I would absolutely love to see someone who's actually good at the games tackle a video LP of the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy.

I'll second this. It's a really charming game I remember playing as a kid but I'm pretty sure I never finished it, but I can't remember why not. I should probably try it out again some day.

I'd like to see an LP of Blood Bowl for much the same reason McClain wants to see the Ninja Gaidens.

You totally should! I played it for the first time a month ago and I was really impressed. It's Mega Man with swappable characters instead of weapons. Gets kind of hard by the end but, hey, save states to the rescue for this oldster.

As for LPs, I'd like to see the Bionic Commando: NES vs GB one get revived.

This is a good request, because the game is interesting to see while simultaneously being no damn fun to play.

Seconding Suikoden III. I tried replaying it recently and it was too clunky (didn't help I started as Chris) but I would love to see this.

I would do the first Final Fantasy Tactics Advance but only if somebody paid me.

Just because I'm a total bastard I want to nominate Final Fantasy VI: Dancing Mad.

Basically, it's a hack that does a lot of neat things, but also a lot a really evil things. Fist, if fixes pretty much all of the bugs and exploits. Then, it gives each character more rigid classes and rebalances their stats and abilities accordingly. And it also changes up most of the items and weapons. BUT it also ramps up the challenge to ridiculous levels (after all, it is hosted on a site called "Insane Difficulty), mostly by making every enemy hit like a truck and soak up damage and use a lot more status effects. I also think they give less Exp. and Gil.

If I could just take the first half of the hack without the extreme changes to the enemies, I'd love to play it. As is, I'd like to see someone else suffer

It's also still in beta, FYI.

I really don't get the purpose of "difficulty" hacks like this. RPGs are not more fun when every fight takes 5 to 10 times longer AND you need twice as many fights to gain a level and/or afford anything. It just turns the experience into a tedious time sink. And I get more than enough of that out of FF12 as it is.

And someone is already LPing a romhack that ruins FFVI. I can't see us needing any more for the forseeable future.

If there's a Homestuck FF6 I'm pulling the plug.

Yeah, that sounded interesting until I hit the part after "truck." Making the enemies into damage sponges never makes things fun.

My general rule of RPGs is if I don't earn enough Exp. taking the main story path to feasibly beat the game than it isn't balanced. I enjoyed something ling FFIVDS because while they made it harder, I still never felt like I had to grind.

Oh, I have no interest in someone doing it right now! I just wanted to throw it out there in case someone later on feels like trying it.

Speaking of hacks, I'd like to put in a request for this:

Final Fantasy V: Ancient Cave
A ROM hack of FFV which utilizes an already included save file to get to the titular dungeon, Ancient Cave.
A frog will reset your levels to LV1 (as if you had just started the game) in order to access the Ancient Cave.
Battle through 99 floors of randomly generated maps and collect items, weapons, spells and Jobs like a real roguelike!
Be careful, some boss waves will destroy you! Careful of booby trapped chests!
10 minute time limit per normal floor, so no grinding!

Want a challenge? Disable EXP gain, ABP gain, or escaping! FFVAC is probably one of the biggest tests of your FFV knowledge, so go for it if you want a challenge and enjoy FFV!
You can find the link here - just patch the .ips file onto a ROM of FFV Advance and you're good to go. The only issue is that it's entirely in Japanese, so you might need a translation guide to figure out what's what.
It's FFV: the Roguelike, and TK Flash gave it two thumbs up way back in march, so I've a good feeling about this one. You could make it a sequel to the LAP and invite the same people that took part in that one to join in on this, even.

I've never seen a completed LP of Terranigma, so I guess I'll put in a request for that. It would be interesting to see other peoples' thoughts on it.

Lufia 2 never got completed, which makes me sad. Same thing for Suikoden 2.
