Default LET'S STREAM PAC-MAN 2 BLIND: Something Has Broken, And It Cannot Be Fixed.

According to Wikipedia, "Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures, known in Japan as Hello! Pac-Man (ハロー! パックマン), is a side-scrolling game sequel to Pac-Man. Incorporating both puzzle and action-adventure elements. It was produced and published by Namco for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and Mega Drive/Genesis systems, and was released on April 6, 1994."

This is technically accurate.

But then so many things are.

Some kid at a basketball camp I went to had this game. We played it all the time and hardly got anywhere. All I remember is "Look, look!" and "Higher, higher!"

I have thought of LPing this game for some time, but really, it had to be done by someone with absolutely no understanding of what they were getting into.

I can't wait until you get to the end, do about 5 nights of streaming of it, and then restart. It worked for IWBTG.

Just for that as soon as this is over I'm doing a full run of IWBTG.

I don't even care.

Pac-Man has, like, THE BEST animations in this game. They all need to be added as emoticons to the forum. All of them. I ripped a few and added them to a thread somewhere, but I can't remember where now consarnit.

I played this game a lot in highschool, it was just one of those weird oddities I stumbled upon and fell in love with. It's not what you think of when see 'Pac-Man', but it's just so offbeat and strange and unique it's easy to like once you look past that.

Calling it 'Pac-Man 2' over here was a dumb, dumb move in retrospect though.

(Also the SNES version is best, the BGM and sound effects on the Genesis are so, so bad)

I've only played this in arcades. It's a very very different experience with the timer from hell in play.

From Solitayre in the stream chat:

Quote:
This is the most depressing game I've ever seen
He literally just mopes around town
 and nothing goes his way
 It's like
a pretnetious indie game twenty years before indie games were a thing
That is the best thing I've ever seen

GAHITSU YOUR QUOTE SKIPS THE WHOLE SETUP
Quote:
Solitayre: Wow so you literally can't directly control him?
 I thought you were KIDDING
 hahahaha
 What does PacMan's mood affect
 This is amazing
The character just does what he wants
You want to play the game but he wants a hot dog
and then get in a fight with a cat
 instead of play the game
God the things I do for you people.

I played this for about an hour once. It's an unplayable pile! Can't wait to watch the whole thing with BEAT and others' commentary for some reason.

Yeah, a mom and pop rental shop back in the day had a copy of this and I rented it a couple times myself. I can specifically recall it as a "well, there's nothing better to rent so I might as well try this again" rental. It was just kind of weird and I didn't really get it. It didn't help that I never played anything resembling a proper adventure game before, which this very much was attempting to be. I can remember my parents, who spent their share of time at Pac-Man machines in their day, being even more weirded out than I was.

But anyway, I'm highly interested to see if you actually get through this game. Heaven knows I never figured out what its deal was.

Last night I saw two facial expressions I didn't know existed.

BEAT may well have driven Pac-Man more insane than I ever hoped to.

I remember getting both of those now I've seen 'em, but only really remembered the hitting himself in the head with a hammer one prior to that.

It is distinctive.
