Let's Play Turok!
VIDEOS 00: Attract Mode 01: The Lost Land 02: Bad Blood (1) 03: Bad Blood (2) 04: Death Valley, Reunions 05: Ghost In The Shadow 06: Mother Superior 07: Killing Fields, The Shortest Straw 08: Down And Out 09: Heroes End 10: Salt In A Wound 11: End Of The Road, Into The Breach 12: An Eye For An Eye EX: Theater Mode Turok is a 2008 first-person shooter developed for seventh-generation consoles by Propaganda Games (TRON: Evolution, TRON: Evolution: Battle Grids) and published by Touchstone (Turok, Turok). In it, players assume the role of Joseph Turok, a former member of Wolf Pack now working with Whiskey Company on an important mission to capture Wolf Pack's leader and bring him back to Earth. Also, it's got dinosaurs in it. DISCLAIMER: Turok is presented entirely without the aid of subtitles. My comrades and I did our best to avoid talking over important dialogue, but there's a fair amount of mid-mission chatter that we didn't see coming. Once the LP is finished, I'll be uploading a "Theater Mode" video with all of the cutscenes strung together. I'm Phenwah, joined as always by Lobst and DemoWeasel. Welcome to Turok! In today's video, Turok's knife slashes up some dinosaur necks and Slade chews up all the scenery. There's no scenery left!

In today's video, we're barely half an hour into Turok and we've already forgotten most of the critical plot details. Hope you like elevators!

Today's video covers two full chapters of Turok! We knife our way through what's probably the closest thing the game has to a "stealth" segment, and meet back up with plenty of people who aren't Slade.

Today's video is brought to you by ragdolling! In his search for the ship's missing comm unit, Turok meets up with more members of Whiskey Company - as well as a familiar foe.

What dinosaur-hunting game would be complete without a T-Rex battle?
I actually would really like to see a dinosaur-hunting game that uses fluffy feathery dinosaurs instead of sharp scaly ones. |

It's another two-fer! In today's video, we're introduced to multiple new enemy types, another boss encounter, and more plot details conveyed in the form of cutscenes! Also in today's video, I cut out enough deaths to make myself look like a competent video-game player.

Tempers flare in today's video! This episode is mostly just traversing from point A to point B, but we do meet back up with Whiskey Company. What's left of them, anyway. :X

Today we find out the juicier details about Wolf Pack's sinister plot, and Whiskey Company continues their trek to find a spaceship and get off this tu-rock.

Man, this game is so... generic-looking. If it weren't for the dinosaur-stabbing I wouldn't know I was watching videos of a Turok game. And somehow they made the dinosaur-stabbing look boring, too! At least the ragdolling is entertaining, though.

In today's video, I cut an hour's worth of footage into 20 minutes of somewhat-competent gameplay. Also Turok shoots a helicopter with a rocket until it dies. Spoilers.
Starship Troopers: Dinosaur Hunter. ugh. No joke, one of my roommates tried on two separate occasions to do a Turok: Dinosaur Hunter LP; we ran out of stuff to talk about midway through the first video. |

In today's video, we frantically push to wrap up all of the game's loose ends before the credits roll.
Theater Mode video should be going up later today. As always, hella thanks to Lobst and DemoWeasel for sticking with me through our fantastic journey into the cave of monsters, to Activision Acclaim Propaganda Games (for making us laugh), and a very special thanks to you, the viewer. This was Turok. |

This video contains the bulk of Turok's in-game cutscenes. Although much of the narrative experience is relayed through mid-mission dialogue, I played it very fast-and-loose when creating this reel, only including moments where camera control was actually wrestled away from the player-character, Turok. Don't worry, you're not missing much.

VIDEOS 00: Attract Mode 01: Part 1 02: Part 2 03: Part 3 04: Part 4 05: Part 5 EX: Theater Mode Jurassic: The Hunted is a 2009 first-person shooter developed for sixth- and seventh-generation consoles by Cauldron (Soldier of Fortune: Payback, Gene Troopers) and published by Activision (Fast & Furious: Showdown, Gun). When that "adrenaline mode" started up for the Jurassic game, I thought it was related to those recent Cabela's hunting games! I remember that from when one of them showed up on Steam and got a ton of ironic positive reviews.
